After our chapter on fractions students will take this quiz.  An online quiz for students to take either in class while in computer lab and submit online.  This will help determine if students know and understand fractions.  Students need to know and understand fractions because fractions are in everyday life.  Students will know how to add and subtract fractions.  

Activity #1
In class we will first take this quiz as a base for what the students already know about fractions.  Then we will have our lesson on fractions and how they are part of our everyday life.  After our lesson the students will take the quiz again and compare their two scores.  

Google Forms is a neat tool for students to take quizzes. Google Forms was easy to use and set up the quiz or anything else you need input from others.   I will be using this tool in the future.
